This is an exciting role which will provide the post holder the opportunity to work across the Cramlington site and develop Lean principles, skills and capabilities throughout on-site operations. Responsibilities are as follows:
• Facilitation of Lean/Six Sigma activities across the site.
• Develop Lean management and people development processes and plans in association with operational requirements and business drivers.
• Develop and drive adoption of standard work in all parts of the business.
• Consult and partner with operational managers and their management teams to develop plans and execute performance improvement activities.
• Utilise various Lean principles, systems and tools in conjunction with our standardised deployment roadmap to diagnose, analyse and improve operational processes.
• Coaching and influencing at all levels of the business in Lean principles and tools.
• Rapid problem solving and coaching others within problem solving techniques and mindset.
• Ensuring sustainable programmes are in place following lean capability development.
• Provide teaching and coaching to effectively transfer Lean skills into operational functions.
• Drive site wide lean capability development and building upon the sites lean behavioural framework.
• Lead and coach kaizen with teams to achieve multiple target conditions to achieve an overall challenge.
• Become an SME in the company Lean Toolkit.
• Work with operations and functions to develop a ‘hopper’ of CI opportunities through proactive go see’s and reactive opportunities identified in Tier process.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo while supporting operational strategies that align with the sites long term strategy.

Qualifications, skills & experience:
• Experience within a pharmaceutical environment preferred
• Lean knowledge – Green Belt or equivalent
• Hands-on application of Lean tools and techniques (standardised work, problem solving, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, 5S, etc.).
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Ability to interact and influence decision making with all levels of the business (senior leaders to shop floor working teams).
• Project management skills.
• Organisational/ prioritisation/ structured working practices
• Developed coaching style
• Prepared to challenge status quo
• Results driven – high energy
• Thrives on new challenges and is motivated by new learning opportunities.

Responsibilities
• Required to comply with MSD Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.
• Responsible for:
• Attending and successfully completing applicable GMP training, including training in local operating procedures.
• Ensuring you are suitably trained to perform your job.
• Ensuring that this training is accurately recorded in your training record.
• Ensuring that your job is performed in accordance with the training and in compliance with procedures relevant to the role/activity.
• Bringing to the attention of management any violation in cGMPs and/or other concerns which may affect the safety, efficacy, or purity of the organisation’s product
